About this product
Frankland Estate Olmo’s Reward Cabernet Franc 2023 is the estate’s flagship red: a composed, cellar-worthy Bordeaux-style blend led by Cabernet Franc, with Cabernet Sauvignon and a tiny Malbec component. The 2023 is savoury and detailed, combining ripe fruit with spice, energy and fine structure.
Mixed black and blue berries, plum and wild raspberry mingle with red cherry, black pepper, dried herbs, menthol, bresaola, earth and violet. The palate is supple and fleshy yet focused, with grainy-to-powdery tannins, fresh acidity and a dry, cherry-pip finish that carries excellent length.
Decant Frankland Estate Olmo’s Reward Cabernet Franc 2023 for roast lamb, beef Wellington, venison, duck breast or slow-braised beef. Its savoury detail and firm shape also suit mushroom ragù, truffle dishes and aged hard cheeses.
