Stumpy Gully Shark Point Pinot Noir 2023 from Moorooduc on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is a single estate Pinot Noir drawn from the northern part of the Stumpy Gully vineyard, delivering a concentrated yet finely poised cool climate style. It showcases bright red fruits and subtle floral aromatics with a sense of site and structure.

Fruit (predominantly MV6 clone) is cold soaked, fermented on skins for around ten days then matured in older hogsheads, giving silky texture without heavy oak. Expect red cherry, strawberry and plum layered with earthy, spicy notes from toasty oak, a medium body and a fine, silky tannin line supported by lively acidity. It is already drinking beautifully and has the stuffing to age up to six years.

This Shark Point Pinot Noir is spot on with duck, mushroom risotto or blue cheese, where its mix of red fruits, savoury spice and fine tannins really comes alive at the table. Serve lightly chilled around 14–16 degrees.
