Bondar Violet Hour Shiraz 2025 is a magnetic McLaren Vale red from Bondar Wines, sourced from the old Rayner Vineyard at Blewitt Springs and made in a fresher, fragrant Shiraz style. Sandy soils, wild fermentation and seasoned oak bring real lift and finesse to this seriously drinkable South Australian classic.

Violets, blueberry and dark berry fruit rise with pepper, nori, licorice and a savoury dried-herb edge. The palate is medium-weight yet concentrated, with silky texture, fine tannins and bright acidity keeping every element humming. Bondar Violet Hour Shiraz 2025 is all about perfume, poise and savoury complexity rather than brute force.

Pair this McLaren Vale Shiraz with chargrilled lamb cutlets, pepper-crusted beef, sticky pork ribs or mushroom and lentil pie. Its supple tannins and peppery drive thrive with smoky, roasted flavours, while that vibrant acidity keeps richer dishes in check. Decant briefly, then enjoy the way it opens with food.
