Rose, or Rosado, from near the unpronounceable town of Valladolid in Ribera del Duero, made from Tempranillo and a host of other grapes.

Provence this is not. Alfredo Maestro is a master of idiosyncratic single vineyard wines that go completely against regional stereotypes. This is true Rose, aged in chestnut, oak and ex-sherry casks, all of which add complex flavours of spice, vanilla and even coffee.
