Pikes ‘Luccio’ Sangiovese 2024 is a lively Clare Valley red from Pikes Wines, marking more than 30 years of the winery championing this Italian variety. Bright, savoury and effortlessly drinkable, it captures Sangiovese’s cherry-fruited charm with the freshness and easy warmth of South Australia.

Sour cherry, raspberry and red plum lead the aromatics, followed by rose petal, dried herbs, tomato leaf and a flicker of sweet spice. The palate is medium-bodied and juicy, with vibrant red fruit, brisk acidity and fine, dusty tannins delivering a savoury, mouth-watering finish with real Italianate character.

Serve Pikes Luccio 2024 Sangiovese with pasta alla Norma, wood-fired margherita pizza, porchetta or grilled lamb cutlets.
