About this product

Alkina Kin Shiraz Mataro 2024 is a deeply flavoured yet fresh Barossa red from Alkina Wine Estates, combining the perfume and juicy fruit of Shiraz with Mataro’s earthy spice, savoury depth and fine tannin. All fruit is estate-grown in Greenock and certified organic and biodynamic.

Cool red and green cherry, black cherry, dark berries and ripe plum meet gentle floral notes, earthy spice and a subtle savoury edge. The 2024 Alkina Kin Shiraz Mataro is medium-bodied and unfiltered, with vibrant fruit, lively natural acidity and fine, grippy tannins drawing the palate to a long finish.

Pour this modern Barossa Shiraz Mataro with chargrilled rib-eye and chimichurri, lamb shoulder, smoked beef brisket or mushroom skewers. Its generous dark fruit loves char and richness, while its fresh acid line and savoury structure make it far more versatile than a heavy, oak-driven red.
