About this product
Koerner The Clare Red 2023 is a vibrant, modern Clare Valley blend from brothers Damon and Jono Koerner, bringing Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Malbec, Carignan and Sciacarello together in a fragrant, juicy and seriously drinkable regional red.
Dark berries, maraschino cherry, boysenberry and sweet plum mingle with violets, potpourri, mint, sweet herbs, peanut brittle and crushed-rock minerality. The 2023 Koerner The Clare Red is medium-bodied and beautifully buoyant, with bright acidity, ultra-fine powdery tannins and a savoury, refreshing finish.
Serve this Clare Valley red slightly chilled with lamb koftas, wood-fired pizza, chargrilled sausages, roast chicken or hard cheeses. Its crunchy fruit, gentle tannin and herbal lift suit casual food brilliantly, making it a cracking bottle for a long lunch, barbecue or easy midweek dinner.
