Rouleur Domestique Pinot Gris et al 2025 is a seriously stylish, small-batch skin-contact white from Rouleur Wine Co., made with high-altitude Whitlands fruit in Victoria’s King Valley. This modern Australian orange wine combines Pinot Gris with aromatic Gewürztraminer and a splash of Chardonnay, delivering bright perfume, texture and plenty of personality.
Light copper-peach in colour, Rouleur Pinot Gris et al 2025 opens with white pear, orange flesh, mandarin, blood orange and citrus peel. Exotic musk, ginger, potpourri and baking spice add lift, while a gentle tannic grip brings savoury definition. The palate is lush yet saline and fresh, finishing with refreshing acidity and a deliciously subtle citrus-skin bitterness.
Serve the Rouleur Domestique Pinot Gris et al lightly chilled with pork and fennel sausage, crispy-skinned chicken, dumplings, miso-glazed eggplant, Moroccan-spiced cauliflower or washed-rind cheese. Its bold aromatics, fine phenolics and bright acid line make it a brilliant food wine, especially with spice, umami and richly flavoured dishes.
