Ros Ritchie Riesling 2019 (6 Bottles) Mansfield, VIC
About this product
Ros Ritchie Riesling 2019 from Victoria’s Upper Goulburn high country is a taut, citrus‑driven riesling that now shows the first signs of bottle development alongside its cool‑climate line and length. Expect lifted lemon and lime, crunchy green apple and hints of jasmine, sitting over a subtle slatey, mineral edge. With a few years in bottle, you’ll also see a gentle honeyed note and a touch of toast creeping in, adding interest without losing freshness.
On the palate, Ros Ritchie Riesling 2019 is light to medium bodied, dry and tightly focused, with brisk acidity driving flavours of lime juice, lemon pith and green apple peel. There’s a fine, chalky texture through the mid‑palate and a long, mouth‑watering finish that makes it a seriously good food white. This style is built for the table rather than as a simple porch sipper.
Food‑wise, it’s a natural with fresh oysters, salt‑and‑pepper squid and classic fish and chips, where that citrus line cuts through salt and crunch beautifully. It’s also excellent with Thai salads, Vietnamese dishes, pork schnitzel and lighter cheeses, and will shine at an Adelaide lunch where you want something zippy but a bit more serious than your average sauv blanc.
