Our ‘Home Block’ Pinot Noir is a barrel selection of our best Pinot from our Porongurup vineyard. Our first plantings were in 1989 on our Home Block in the Porongurups, 30 kms east of Mt Barker & 40 kms north of Albany in the cool, Great Southern region of Western Australia.

Medium depth, a light, crimsony red.

Delicately perfumed with some light, sweet fruit aromas of fresh cherry, plum and pomegranate. There is also an underlying hint of dark chocolate with raspberry, complexed by some very light smoky characters.

Home Block has quite delicate fruit flavours while being very generous on the palate …a hallmark of Pinot Noir. The delicate, sweet raspberry fruit flavours are beautifully integrated with the oak and it has the most delicious silkiness which will make it very hard not to enjoy straight away. This Pinot Noir is classically ‘Porongurup’ with its fineness and delicacy; it has texture and palate weight rather than simple fruit flavours. The gentle acid profile and light tannin structure provide great length of flavour and will ensure this wine continues to develop with further cellaring.
