The 2024 Emmalene Pinot Gris, crafted by Emma Hall in Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, is an elegantly textured white of poise and freshness. Aromas of pear blossom, white nectarine, and blossom honey rise softly from the glass. On the palate it delivers juicy stone fruit layered with quince, green apple, and a subtle spice lift. Vibrant acidity frames a core of chalky minerality, while a creamy mid-palate adds depth without weight. The finish is crisp and clean, inviting another sip. While not yet scored, it’s a beautifully expressive and food-friendly Pinot Gris – distinctly cool-climate, refined, and approachable.
