Triacca ‘Alpi’ Nebbiolo 2023 (Alpi Retiche IGT, Valtellina) is a young, fragrant mountain Nebbiolo that’s all about lift, freshness and fine structure rather than Barolo‑level heft. It’s sourced from high‑altitude terraced vineyards around Sondrio in Lombardy and made with a very gentle touch.

Nebbiolo grapes are fermented under strict temperature control to maximise floral perfume and natural suppleness, then aged about 12 months in large oak casks, which adds subtle earthy structure without heavy oak imprint. In the glass, expect bright notes of violet, alpine herbs and fresh red fruits (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant), with a medium body, fine tannins, lively acidity and a lightly earthy, mineral finish that captures Valtellina’s alpine poise.

This Alpi Nebbiolo 2023 is very food‑friendly – ideal with antipasti, cured meats, simple pastas, grilled pork, roast chicken or young cheeses, where its freshness and gentle grip shine. It’s designed to drink well young for its pretty aromatics, but has enough structure to evolve nicely over the next 3–5 years.
