Tommasi Valpolicella DOC 2024 (12 Bottles) Veneto, Italy
About this product
Firm juicy cherries and red fruits burst from this Tommasi Valpolicella DOC 2024, a joyful expression from the family’s historic Valpolicella vineyards where the traditional blend of 60% Corvina Veronese, 30% Rondinella and 10% Molinara has been crafted since 1902. Deeply coloured yet attractively transparent ruby red, this fresh and vibrant wine ferments for 12 days at controlled temperatures before maturing six months in stainless steel to preserve its crisp fruit character. The 2017 vintage scored 91 points from James Suckling who praised its impressive structure.
Light and supple with persistent taste, the palate elegantly recalls the attractive fruity notes on the nose with well-balanced acidity that keeps it refreshing. Delicious and fresh with grace and harmonious body, this carefree Valpolicella is like taking a bite of the first cherries from the orchard. Medium body meets bright acidity creating a versatile everyday red that delivers authenticity and charm.
Pasta dishes, risotto or white meats pair beautifully where the lightness and elegance complement rich sauces without overwhelming delicate proteins. Try it with elaborate pizzas, young cheeses or first courses served at 14-16°C.
