Pale to old gold in colour, this gorgeous wine bursts with toasted honey, marmalade, lime marmalade and exotic citrus alongside wonderful toasty notes and an alluring creamy aspect from extended lees aging. The palate has developed enormous depth and complexity with classic aged Clare characters, showing that typical petrol note balanced by zingy lemon curd, stony minerality and amazing creamy texture from time spent on lees in a 3,000-litre oak barrel.

This McNicol Riesling pairs beautifully with richer seafood dishes where its developed flavours complement complex preparations, while aged cheeses allow the wine’s toast and honey notes to shine. The full-bodied richness also makes it brilliant with creamy pasta or roast chicken.
