Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Martin Moran, winemaker at Mordrelle Wines is one of the emerging wine makers around Adelaide Hills. He is continuing his grandfather’s legacy of winemaking in Australia after having experienced vintages in Argentina, USA and Australia.

Love Is First Vintage,
Martin established Mordrelle Wines in 2010 in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills wine region with his wife Michelle and her parents David and Jane Dreckow. This guy is all about the ❤️! His first vintage Blanc de Blancs was showcased at their wedding. His passion is making premium Blanc de Blancs, cool climate chardonnays and single vineyard red wines using sustainable practices. One of Martin’s Argentinian specialties is making Malbec wine.

A Passion for Family & Friends
When he’s not teaching his young family how the business of winemaking works, he loves playing piano and guitar and cooking Argentinian BBQ’s for friends and visitors. YUM!

Artistic Bottle Labels from Mendoza
Each of the labels from Mordrelle Wines has a hand painted reproduction from the collection of art painted by Martin’s father, José Luis Moran (1938 – 2010). Heralding from Argentina’s wine capital of Mendoza, my father, José Luis painted thousands of watercolours and oils in his lifetime.

His artworks are proudly displayed on Mordrelle Wines labels to honour his memory. Martin Moran, Winemaker.
