Stonehaven Limited Vineyard Release Padthaway Pinot Noir 2025 is a more serious, single‑region Pinot from Padthaway, offering depth and savoury complexity rather than just simple fruitiness. It is very much a food‑table Pinot, not a light rosé‑adjacent style.

In the glass it shows garnet to russet hues, with a nose of red berries, wild strawberries and hawthorn, woven with damp earth and a gently meaty, gamey note. Gentle oak brings cinnamon, tree bark and subtle spice, while the palate is medium‑bodied, fine and dry, with a core of dark cherry and blood plum, silky tannins and bright acidity giving line and length.

This Padthaway Pinot Noir 2025 is spot‑on with duck breast, roast chicken, pork belly, mushroom risotto or tagliatelle amatriciana. It will also sit nicely with a charcuterie board or semi‑hard cheeses, drinking well now and over the next five or so years as those savoury notes broaden in bottle.
