Nashdale Lane Wines Colour Series Pinot Noir 2023 from Orange, NSW is a cool–climate Pinot that focuses on bright fruit, fine tannin and food–friendly acidity. It is made as two clonal expressions in the Colour Series range – the darker, more robust Pinot Noir 777 and the brighter, more delicate Pinot Noir MV6.

The 2023 Colour Series Pinot Noir 777 is medium bodied and more muscular in style, with black cherry, kirsch, savoury spice, vanilla and cedar, plus good colour and structure from the Burgundy 777 clone. Fine, round tannins and soft acids make it versatile at the table and suitable for cellaring 6–8 years. It pairs well with dark meats, smoked dishes and slow–cooked root vegetables.​

The 2023 Colour Series Pinot Noir MV6 is the lighter, “pretty” sibling – ruby–coloured, light bodied with medium acidity and lush, soft tannins. It shows red cherry, fresh cranberry, baking spice and subtle vanilla and oak, with a delicate, refined finish and similar 6–8 year cellaring potential. It suits pork, duck, richer seafood and baked root veg, and also works with tomato–based seafood stews and herby, aromatic dishes that echo its freshness.
