About this product

Dawson James Chardonnay 2022 from Peter Dawson and Tim James’s Meadowbank Vineyard in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley is a beautifully composed cool-climate Chardonnay, combining pristine stone fruit, flinty detail and creamy French-oak complexity. It is powerful yet restrained, with bright natural acidity giving every sip real energy and length.

White peach, nectarine, lemon and grapefruit are layered with citrus blossom, soft spice, struck flint, grilled nuts and nougat. Dawson James Chardonnay 2022 is mid-weight and silky, balancing savoury oak and gently creamy lees texture against a racy citrus line, finishing long, pure and mouth-watering.

Serve this Derwent Valley Chardonnay with roast chicken, butter-poached scallops, crab linguine or a caramelised leek tart. The wine’s freshness cuts through creamy sauces and buttery seafood, while its nutty complexity makes a brilliant match for grilled poultry, richer white fish and soft, bloomy-rind cheeses.
