Dawson James Island Belle Chardonnay 2025 from Peter Dawson and Tim James in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley is a bright, polished cool-climate Chardonnay built around purity, freshness and effortless drinkability. Made in the same thoughtful style as the flagship wines, it offers Meadowbank vineyard character at a wonderfully approachable level.

White peach, nectarine and lemon curd aromas lead into grapefruit, citrus blossom, nougat and a light touch of toasted almond. Dawson James Island Belle Chardonnay is fresh and finely textured, with creamy lees richness kept in check by taut natural acidity and a long, clean mineral finish.

Serve this Derwent Valley Chardonnay with roast chicken, grilled prawns, pan-fried flathead or a creamy mushroom pasta. Its citrusy drive cuts through buttery flavours beautifully, while the ripe stone fruit and gentle nutty notes suit a relaxed cheese board or an easy long lunch with friends.
