Château de Meursault Ladoix Les Chaillots 2022 is a fine‑boned, red‑fruited Burgundy that shows just how elegant this up‑and‑coming village at the foot of Corton can be. From a stony, clay‑limestone site nicknamed for its “pebbles”, it offers clarity, freshness and charm in a very drinkable Pinot frame.

In the glass, Ladoix Les Chaillots 2022 has a pretty ruby colour with purple tints and a nose of fresh redcurrant, strawberry, cherry and raspberry, backed by cranberry, a hint of violets, light earth and gentle spice. The palate is fresh and approachable with cheerful cherry and raspberry fruit all the way through, fine grainy tannins, lively acidity and a mineral‑driven finish that keeps it feeling bright rather than heavy. It is soft, silky and nicely balanced, with more finesse than many Bourgogne‑level reds.

Château de Meursault Ladoix Les Chaillots 2022 is excellent with roast poultry, duck, veal, pâté en croûte or creamy mushroom dishes, where its red fruit and fine tannins play well with savoury richness. It also works beautifully with charcuterie or a simple cut of beef, and can be enjoyed now or over the next five to seven years.
