Aromatically you’re looking at bath salts, talc, citrus, lime zest, lemongrass, jasmine and green apple blossom, plus wet stone and crushed shell minerality underneath. The palate on Brokenwood Semillon 2025 is crystalline and focused – mouth–filling lime juice, green apple, grapefruit and lemon pith balanced by a zesty acid backbone, finishing long, dry and saline with serious energy.

This is superb as a chilled aperitif and magic with oysters, shellfish, sushi, salt–and–pepper squid or simple grilled fish, where its citrus drive and minerality cut straight through richness and salt.
