Poggio Al Tesoro Dedicato a Walter Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2017 is a powerful, luxurious Tuscan red made entirely from Cabernet Franc grown on the famed Via Bolgherese, crafted as a tribute to Walter Allegrini. It’s deeply coloured, full‑bodied and intensely perfumed, with both richness and real finesse.

Expect aromas of ripe red and black berries, plum and cherry, layered with balsamic notes, herbs, dark chocolate, tobacco, sweet spice and elegant toasted oak. The palate is concentrated and velvety, with dense, ripe fruit at the core, polished yet firm tannins, vibrant freshness and a very long, savoury, balsamic‑tinged finish. This 2017 has serious ageing potential but is already hugely expressive after a good decant.

On the table, this Dedicato a Walter is ideal with bistecca alla fiorentina, slow‑cooked beef or veal, lamb racks, game dishes (venison, wild boar), and rich mushroom or truffle‑driven plates. Aged pecorino, Parmigiano‑Reggiano and other hard cheeses also make superb partners.
