Castle Rock Estate Chardonnay 2024 from Porongurup in Western Australia’s Great Southern is a lively cool-climate Chardonnay revered for its fresh fruit expression and complexity. It shows an alluring bouquet of flint, stone fruits, and subtle oak toast, with a vibrant palate full of nectarine, citrus, and balanced savory notes of mealiness and oak. The wine finishes with bright acidity, a hint of flint, and a fresh acid pucker, making it ideal for summer BBQs or pairing with seafood. While it is crafted to be enjoyed young and fresh, it has upside potential to develop additional complexity over five years.
