About this product
Ministry of Clouds Mencía 2024 is a thrillingly perfumed McLaren Vale red from Ministry of Clouds, showing why this Spanish variety feels so at home in Australia. Light on its feet yet packed with flavour, it delivers floral lift, juicy fruit and savoury mineral detail in a seriously stylish package.
Crushed violet, iris, lavender and rose lead into sour cherry, pomegranate, blueberry and blood plum. Earthy humus, charcoal, liquorice powder and pipe tobacco add darker complexity, while the Ministry of Clouds Mencía 2024 finishes with a saline, crushed-rock edge. Silky tannins and bright acidity keep the fruit vivid, long and beautifully composed.
Serve Ministry of Clouds McLaren Vale Mencía 2024 lightly chilled with chargrilled lamb, duck pancakes, mushroom skewers or smoky chorizo. It is also a cracker with tomato-based pasta, grilled eggplant and Spanish-style tapas, where its perfume, freshness and savoury grip really come alive.
