Aromatically it’s deep and brooding: boysenberry, blackberry and black cherry with Indian spice, cocoa, black pepper, black olive, cured meat, clove, dried oregano and a touch of iodine‑like minerality and forest floor. The palate is intense yet controlled, with dark cherry, plum, persimmon and cacao wrapped in fine, grainy, chalk‑edged tannins, bright acidity and classy French oak from 16 months in seasoned barrels, giving a long, structured, age‑worthy finish.

Penny’s Hill Yeenunga Shiraz 2023 is made for slow‑roast lamb shoulder, ribeye, venison, rich braises and truffled mushroom dishes, where its dark fruit, spice, savoury meat notes and firm frame really shine.
