ALTE Shiraz 2025 is a polished cool-climate Shiraz from Cumulus Vineyards’ Little Boomey site in Orange, where high-altitude vineyards at 600 metres deliver fragrant fruit, freshness and supple structure. The name ALTE, drawn from Terre Alte or “high lands”, perfectly captures its elevated regional character.

Dark cherry, plum and blackberry meet dark chocolate, crushed pepper and a distinctive Chinese five-spice note. ALTE Shiraz shows ripe dark-red fruit without heaviness, flowing across a generous yet elegant palate with soft fine tannins, balanced oak and a clean, savoury length.

Pour this Orange Shiraz with grilled lamb cutlets, slow-cooked beef cheeks, smoky barbecue ribs or mushroom and thyme pizzas. The wine’s plush fruit and spicy edge also suit roast vegetables and firm cheeses, making it a versatile Australian red for both weeknight dinners and a proper long lunch.
