Dark plum, blackberry and blackcurrant drive the aroma, backed by notes of cedar, clove, dark chocolate and a subtle mint lift that speaks clearly of Coonawarra terra rossa. The palate is full flavoured yet composed, with ripe fruit balanced by savoury oak, fine tannins and a long, confident finish. The Zema Shiraz 2018–2019 shows both immediate appeal and the structure to reward further cellaring.
