About this product

XO Wine Co Syrah 2022 is a compelling cool-climate Adelaide Hills red from the Christmas Hill vineyard in Kuitpo, delivering aromatic lift, savoury detail and the confident structure to reward a few years in the cellar. This is refined Australian Syrah with immediate appeal and serious ageing potential.

A 20% whole-bunch component brings a fragrant peppercorn, dried-herb and savoury spice edge, while a small splash of Viognier adds a beautiful violet perfume. Dark plum, blackberry and red-cherry fruit sit beneath the floral lift, with the XO Wine Co Kuitpo Syrah 2022 finishing long, poised and finely tannic.

Match XO Wine Co Syrah 2022 with chargrilled lamb cutlets, rosemary-crusted beef, duck confit, slow-cooked mushroom ragù or smoky barbecue dishes. Its peppery fragrance and fresh structure are brilliant with savoury flavours now, yet its concentrated fruit and firm line make it a rewarding Adelaide Hills Syrah to cellar.
