About this product
Thompson Estate The Specialist Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a limited-release Margaret River Cabernet of real distinction, delivering the classic Wilyabrup combination of fragrant berry fruit, elegant power, fine tannin and remarkable length.
Red berry, raspberry and forest fruits open with blackberry, blackcurrant, violet and fresh mint, while clove, cedar, coffee grounds and savoury spice bring impressive complexity. The palate is medium to full-bodied and silky, with juicy cassis and mulberry flowing through a succulent yet firm tannin frame, finishing long with dark chocolate and spice.
Decant Thompson The Specialist Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 for char-grilled ribeye, roast lamb rack, beef Wellington, venison or aged cheddar. With only 3,075 bottles produced, it is a superb choice for special dinners and collectors, showing excellent balance now and the structure to evolve gracefully for eight to twelve years.
