Robert Oatley The Pennant Chardonnay 2022 is a rare, hand-selected Karridale masterpiece from Larry Cherubino, representing the pinnacle of Robert Oatley’s Margaret River Chardonnay program with exceptional precision, concentration and powerful cellaring potential.
The Robert Oatley Pennant Chardonnay 2022 is alive with lemon, lime and white stone fruit, moving into smoky flint, grapefruit pith, roasted nuts and subtle nougat. Fermentation and ten months’ maturation in 100% new, tight-grained French oak build serious creamy depth, yet vibrant acidity holds everything beautifully taut, fine and long.
Match this benchmark Margaret River Chardonnay with butter-poached lobster, seared scallops, roast chicken with morels or a rich truffled pasta. It will also elevate aged Comté and caramelised cauliflower. Only 400 cases were produced, so this is a genuinely special bottle to enjoy now with decanting or cellar confidently for up to 12 years.winecompanion+2
