Pepper Tree Varietal Shiraz 2021 is produced by Head Winemaker Gwyn Olsen from Fruit grown in the cool-climate vineyards of Orange and Wrattonbully, Australia. Aromas of vibrant florals and pepper drift from the glass, leading into a palate layered with juicy red berry fruits, plum and a swirl of complex spice. The wine’s structure is defined, with ripe but polished tannins and a bright acid line that gives drive and freshness. Minerality emerges as stony, cool earth tones underlying the fruit. Alcohol is approx. 14%. No major critical scores or awards for this vintage yet, but it is impressive value.
