Pepper Tree Single Vineyard “Block 21A” Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is crafted by Head Winemaker Gwyn Olsen, and hails from the Wrattonbully sub-region of the Limestone Coast, South Australia. This bold Cabernet greets the nose with cassis, blackberry and dark cherry, threaded through clove, spicy oak and cedar. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied, with plush dark fruit framed by firm, chalky tannins and energetic acidity. A seam of mineral graphite underlies the core, lending drive and length. While formal critical scores for 2021 are limited, Pepper Tree’s 2022 version was ranked #10 among Limestone Coast Cabs by TheRealReview.
