The colour is bright ruby red. Fantastic aromas of red fruit (cherries, currant) and flowers (especially roses) against a background of earthiness and leather. A very seductive taste with roses, pebble, terracotta and dry spices in the long finish. Very tasty, mild and full of character in the typically powerful Barolo style.

Grape Variety: Nebbiolo 100% from Langhe DOC of partly young and partly 30-year old vines.

Region: Piedmont

Food pairing: Soft cheeses – (Brie, fetta, goats), spicy, Asian cuisine,
Slow roasted pork or beef (such as a ragu), or cured meats like prosciutto are ideal. Whole roasted poultry is also a great option as it keeps the mild meat very juicy and succulent.
