About this product
Kilikanoon Tregea Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is Kilikanoon’s flagship Clare Valley Cabernet, named for original property owner John Tregea and sourced from the cooler Cellar Door site alongside warmer Leasingham vineyards. It is a serious, cellar-worthy South Australian red with polish, power and unmistakable regional character.
Dark blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe cherry sit at the core, layered with tobacco leaf, dark chocolate, baking spice and savoury French oak. The Kilikanoon Tregea Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 carries classic Clare tannin structure, with a well-weighted, sculptured palate and long, oak-spiced persistence.
Make this the centrepiece for a proper roast dinner: rare beef, rosemary-crusted lamb rack, venison or slow-braised beef cheeks are spot-on. Its concentration and firm tannin grip also make it a brilliant cheese-board bottle beside aged cheddar or nutty Comté, while its reserve styling rewards both decanting now and patient cellaring.
