About this product

Kilikanoon Prodigal Grenache 2024 is a refined Clare Valley red from Kilikanoon, built from old Grenache vines in Watervale and shaped into a thoroughly modern expression of the variety. It has perfume, purity and medium-weight elegance, showing exactly why Clare Grenache is having such a strong moment.

Red cherry, strawberry and red-berry compote meet violet, garden blossom, potpourri and subtle spice, with a gentle thread of cocoa and French oak. The palate glides rather than stomps, silky and luscious with bright red-apple acidity and fine, sandy tannins. Kilikanoon Prodigal Grenache 2024 is fragrant, fluid and beautifully fresh.

Pair this Watervale Grenache with crispy pork belly, duck breast, lamb koftas or a beetroot and goat’s cheese tart. Its lively red fruit and fine tannins work brilliantly with char, spice and earthy flavours, while the bright finish keeps richer dishes on song. Give it a quick decant and serve slightly cool.
