Isabel Aratoro Chardonnay 2023 from Isabel Estate in Marlborough is a powerful, finely sculpted single-vineyard Chardonnay, combining old-vine concentration with smoky mineral detail and seamlessly integrated French oak. This is a serious Kiwi white with Burgundian poise, depth and superb cellar potential.
Gunsmoke, white peach and nectarine lead with lemon, lime, flint and vanilla bean. The palate is complex and focused, bringing roasted almond, brioche and grapefruit into a creamy yet linear frame. Isabel Estate Aratoro Chardonnay finishes long and mineral, with fine acidity keeping the rich oak and lees characters beautifully fresh.
Serve Isabel Aratoro Chardonnay 2023 with lobster in garlic butter, seared scallops, roast chicken, pan-fried kingfish or wild mushroom risotto.
