Graci Etna Bianco D.O.C. 2024 from Alberto Graci on Mt Etna’s north face is a thrilling volcanic white, pale straw in the glass yet bursting with tension, energy and that distinctly Sicilian sense of place.

The aromatics are beautifully precise – lemon peel, pink grapefruit, green apple, apricot and unripe peach, layered with white flowers, fennel, sage, sea spray, smoke and a savoury umami twist, all carried on a chiselled mineral spine. On the palate, Graci Etna Bianco DOC 2024 is light‑ to medium‑bodied, leesy and textural yet razor‑sharp, with chewy citrus, stone fruit, chalky grip and a long, salty finish.

This is a serious food white for grilled swordfish, prawns, spaghetti alle vongole, octopus, tuna crudo, as well as fennel and orange salad, ricotta‑based pasta and creamy mushroom risotto, where its acidity, salinity and gentle creaminess absolutely sing. It will shine chilled at summer seafood feasts and reward 5–7 years in the cellar as it gains honeyed, nutty complexity.
