About this product

Giesen Estate Merlot 2025 from Giesen Wines in Hawke’s Bay is a smooth, generous red that captures the warmth of the 2024–25 growing season, with ripe dark fruit, mocha richness and supple oak seasoning. It is an easy-drinking Merlot built for relaxed dinners and generous pours.

Perfumed plum, blackberry and dark cherry aromas lead with cassis, wild berry, warm earth and clove spice. The palate is plush and fruit-driven, with a lick of mocha and cedar from oak maturation, balanced by juicy acidity and fine tannins. Giesen Estate Merlot finishes dry, smooth and wonderfully approachable.

Serve Giesen Hawke’s Bay Merlot 2025 with rosemary barbecued lamb, pork ribs, beef burgers, mushroom risotto or a hearty vegetable pie. Its ripe fruit and silky texture make it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, while the savoury spice gives it enough character to shine at the table.
