Charlotte Dalton Grace Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills is a taut, finely cut chardonnay named after Charlotte’s daughter, Ada Pixie Grace, and grown by Alan Dean at the Deanery Vineyard in Balhannah. It’s very much a cool‑climate, finely tuned white that favours precision over blousy richness.

In the glass, Charlotte Dalton Grace Chardonnay is bright and straw‑hued, with melon, stone fruit and jasmine leading the charge, wrapped around a core of citrus and a savoury, nutty thread. Around 30% new French oak brings a distinct toasted hazelnut character that folds neatly into the fruit, keeping the palate fresh, tight and focused rather than buttery or heavy.

This Grace Chardonnay is spot‑on with roast chicken and pan juices, grilled barramundi, butter‑poached prawns or a simple plate of fish and chips where that hazelnut‑laced oak and citrus line cut through the crunch. It will also sing alongside soft cheeses, roast cauliflower with parmesan, or a lemony pasta primavera on a cool Adelaide Hills‑style evening.
