Bodega Garzón Tannat Reserva 2022 is a commanding yet polished Uruguayan red from Bodega Garzón, showing Tannat at its most refined. Deep purple, intensely fruited and shaped by Atlantic freshness, it delivers ripe power without heaviness, with generous dark fruit, mineral drive and tannins that are firm but beautifully composed.

Black cherry, plum and raspberry lead into roses, mocha, mahogany, tobacco, dark chocolate and a savoury umami edge. Bodega Garzón Tannat Reserva 2022 is full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe tannins, balanced acidity and subtle French oak seasoning. A dark-fruited, mineral finish carries impressive freshness and length, making every glass feel both muscular and polished.

This serious Uruguayan Tannat deserves slow-roasted lamb with sage, mint and garlic, or a charred ribeye with chimichurri. It is equally brilliant beside venison, barbecued brisket, duck cassoulet or blue cheese with toasted walnuts. Decant for 30 minutes and serve at 16°C to let its dark fruit and savoury detail really open up.
