Yves Cuilleron Saint-Joseph Lyseras Marsanne/Roussane
Yves Cuilleron Saint-Joseph Lyseras Marsanne/Roussane 2024 (12 Bottles) Rhône Valley, France
About this product
Yves Cuilleron Saint‑Joseph ‘Lyséras’ Marsanne/Roussanne 2024 is a luminous northern Rhône white – generous and fleshy, yet beautifully balanced, with stonefruit, florals and gentle oak all in harmony. This Saint‑Joseph Lyseras 2024 is a 50/50 Marsanne–Roussanne blend from south‑ and south‑east‑facing slopes at Chavanay, fermented and matured in barriques with native yeasts and no new oak to keep things refined.
The nose is luscious and inviting: ripe pear, white peach and apricot alongside citrus blossom, mandarin peel, acacia honey, honeysuckle and a touch of almond and fresh herbs. On the palate it’s fleshy and fruity but nicely pitched between fresh and rounded – stonefruit and citrus, a little spicy oak, acacia honey and almond cream gliding over fine, textural lees richness, finishing long, clean and gently saline. It’s classy, layered and quietly complex, sitting in the 89–91 point band on aggregated critic data for the cuvée.
Food‑wise, Saint‑Joseph ‘Lyséras’ 2024 is brilliant with roast chicken, turkey, pork loin, herby roast vegetables or richer seafood like scallops, salmon or lobster, where its texture and spice really shine. It’s also superb with creamy sauces, soft cheeses and mildly spiced Asian dishes, and will develop more nutty, honeyed complexity over 5–8 years in the cellar if you can resist drinking it now.
