Bel Colle Barolo DOCG Simposio 2021 from Verduno, La Morra and Novello is a classic, “meeting of vineyards” Barolo that delivers depth, spice and velvety power without losing its elegance. Old‑vine Nebbiolo, calcareous clay soils and a long stretch in large Slavonian oak give it serious pedigree and ageing potential.

In the glass, Bel Colle Barolo Simposio 2021 is intense garnet red with orange tinges, offering an ample, ethereal bouquet of flowers, small red fruits, delicate spice and hints of chocolate, toast and liquorice from its time in wood. The palate is dry, robust yet velvety and harmonious, with ripe red fruit layered over savoury spice, tobacco and cocoa, framed by big but refined Nebbiolo tannins that will soften beautifully with time. It is powerful, structured and already very expressive, but built to evolve over many years.

Bel Colle Barolo DOCG Simposio 2021 is superb with red meat, lamb, game and rich mushroom dishes, and it is excellent alongside matured cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano or aged pecorino. Serve it at 18–20°C and decant carefully to let the perfume and complexity really open up at the table.
