Chenin Blanc Wine

Chenin Blanc is the unsung hero of Aussie whites—vibrant, versatile, and packed with personality. Expect a burst of tropical fruit, green apple, passionfruit, melon, and grapefruit, sometimes with a honeyed or floral twist. The palate is usually crisp and zesty, with lively acidity and a light to medium body. Depending on the region and winemaking style, it can swing from bone-dry and refreshing to lusciously sweet, and even show a bit of oily texture or saline edge.

Western Australia, especially Swan Valley, is Chenin’s local heartland, but you’ll find cracking examples from McLaren Vale and beyond. Aussie Chenin is great with spicy food, seafood, or just a sunny afternoon. Whether you like your whites racy and dry or with a touch of sweetness, Chenin Blanc is a top pick for something a little different but always delicious.
