About this product
Lightfoot & Sons Home Block Chardonnay 2021 from the family’s Myrtle Point vineyard in Gippsland is a richly flavoured, cool-climate Chardonnay with the concentration and polish to make it a proper occasion bottle. Grown on a limestone bluff above the Mitchell River, it balances generous fruit, creamy oak and firm regional acidity beautifully.
Melon and white peach lead the nose, joined by almond, matchstick and toasted oak. The palate adds stone fruit, lemon balm, lemon curd and a cashew-like savoury note, all wrapped in a creamy, textural frame. Lightfoot Home Block Chardonnay 2021 remains fresh and balanced, finishing long with excellent cellaring potential.
Serve Lightfoot & Sons Home Block Chardonnay 2021 with roast chicken, butter-poached lobster, grilled flathead or creamy mushroom pasta. Its depth and oak complexity also make it a beauty with triple-cream brie or pork loin with apple. Decant lightly or give it a few minutes in the glass to let its layers really open.
