About this product
Ocean Eight Aylward Chardonnay 2023 is a superbly focused Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay from Michael Aylward, shaped by Red Hill’s cool maritime climate and the estate’s restrained, precise house style. It is a seriously elegant Australian white, bringing concentration, mineral drive and beautifully controlled oak into sharp balance.
White peach, grapefruit, lemon curd and nectarine aromas sit alongside roasted hazelnut, macadamia, struck match and subtle spice. The Ocean Eight Aylward Chardonnay 2023 is layered and creamy yet finely drawn, with bright acidity, savoury flint and a long, saline finish that keeps it fresh and compelling.
Pour Ocean Eight Aylward Chardonnay 2023 with pan-roasted scallops, grilled John Dory, roast chicken, lobster pasta, creamy mushroom risotto or triple-cream brie. Its acid line cuts beautifully through richer dishes, while the layered fruit and discreet oak make it a cracking bottle for a special lunch or dinner.
