Singlefile The Vivienne Chardonnay 2022 from Denmark in Western Australia’s Great Southern is a flagship, cellar-worthy Chardonnay of real power and finesse, combining intense citrus fruit, complex wild-ferment detail and pinpoint mineral acidity.
White peach, grapefruit, citrus blossom and sea spray unfold with flint, struck match, toasted hazelnut and subtle French oak. The palate is rich and creamy yet tightly drawn, layering stone fruit and savoury lees characters over a vivid acid line and exceptionally long finish.
Singlefile The Vivienne Chardonnay is superb with lobster, seared scallops, roast chicken, crab pasta or triple-cream brie. Decant briefly or pour into generous Burgundy stems, then enjoy it now for its vibrant drive or cellar it to reveal deeper nutty, honeyed complexity.
