Lloyd Brothers Estate Picpoul 2025 (12 Bottles) Adelaide Hills, SA
About this product
Lloyd Brothers Estate Shiraz 2022 from McLaren Vale is a deep, brooding red that wraps rich dark fruit, quality French oak and that classic Vale maritime lift into one very polished package. Hand‑crafted from select estate blocks and matured 14 months in French oak, it seriously over‑delivers for the price. This is modern McLaren Vale Shiraz with genuine presence and cellaring potential.
On the nose, Lloyd Brothers Estate Shiraz 2022 offers lifted violets, dark plum, blackberry and boysenberry, layered with mocha, liquorice, coffee bean, dried herbs and a touch of black pepper and spice. The palate is plush and dense yet nicely balanced, showing ripe dark berries, dark chocolate and savoury notes with silky, toothsome tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
This is a cracking barbecue and red‑meat Shiraz – think char‑grilled ribeye, beef short ribs, lamb shanks or a slow‑cooked beef ragù over pappardelle. It will also shine with roast beetroot and halloumi, mushroom and thyme pie or a rich hard cheese, where its full body and savoury complexity really come into their own.
