Provenance Geelong Chardonnay 2021 from the Moorabool/Barwon Valley north of Geelong is a finely crafted cool‑climate chardonnay, combining serious vineyard pedigree with a focused, modern style. It shows gleaming straw‑green colour and a delicious mix of grapefruit, white peach and cooked stone fruit, laced with nougat, creamy nuttiness and a touch of vanilla. Chalky notes and crisp cedar add extra lift and precision.

On the palate, Geelong Chardonnay 2021 is intense yet elegant – inherent fruit power matched to laser‑like acidity for a very precise, lengthy experience. Grapefruit and stone fruit drive the flavour, while 30% new French oak and eight months on lees bring nougat, cream and subtle spice without overwhelming the beautiful fresh fruit. It’s classic “buttery and complex” cool‑climate chardonnay, with oak playing more of an understudy role.
