Tulloch Wines Shiraz Pokolbin Dry Red Heritage Range 2024 from Tulloch in the Hunter Valley is a classic medium-bodied Shiraz with bright berry fruit, gentle spice and the savoury polish that makes Pokolbin Dry Red such an enduring Hunter favourite. It carries the heritage of a label first used in 1952 and stays true to the region’s refined, food-friendly style.
Expect vibrant plum, black cherry and raspberry with fresh herbs, restrained oak and a soft line of spice. The 2023 Heritage Range showed soft berry fruit, dried herbs, velvet tannins and delicate spicy oak, so Tulloch Wines Shiraz Pokolbin Dry Red Heritage Range 2024 should feel smooth, balanced and quietly complex.
It is made for rich sauced Italian dishes, beef ragù, BBQ lamb or roast beef, where its savoury edge and bright fruit can really stretch out. This is the sort of Hunter Shiraz that feels approachable now, but still has the shape and structure to reward a few years in bottle.
