Stonegarden Field Blend Grenache 2021 from the historic Springton vineyard in the Eden Valley is a hauntingly perfumed old-vine red, marrying Grenache’s bright red fruit with savoury complexity and fine earthy tannin. Planted in 1858, this organically grown field blend is energetic, layered and seriously distinctive.
Raspberry, dark cherry and mulberry meet rose petal, blood orange, dried herbs, fennel, amaro and exotic spice. Stonegarden Field Blend Grenache is medium-bodied and silky, yet savoury and structured, with bright sour-cherry acidity, stony tension and powdery tannins bringing impressive length to its darker-fruited profile.
Decant this Eden Valley Grenache briefly and serve with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, Chinese roast duck, grilled quail or charred eggplant with pomegranate. Its fragrant fruit and savoury herbal edge thrive with spice and smoky char, while the fresh structure keeps rich dishes balanced from first bite to last sip.
